    Biaxin bactrim plaquenil for bartonella

Biaxin XL is used to treat many different types of bacterial infections affecting the skin and respiratory system. Biaxin XL is also used together with other medicines to treat stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori.

Anyhow, I was taking Cipro and just didn't like the side effects of increasing achy tendons and muscles, being wiped out, and the fear of tendonitis which I've already had even w/o taking Cipro. So I want to try the Biaxin/Plaquenil. or Rifampin and either one I would be taking w/ Doxy. My husband and I have been on biaxin, bactrim and rifampin for 3+ months with only some change. These antibiotics are to help with lyme and kill off the bartonella infection. Our doctor wasn't very happy with our progress so we were switched to ceftin for the lyme and levoquin for the bartonella on Aug. 5th. Oct 04, 2014 Although Bactrim is a very effective drug, it can also be very dangerous, with possibly fatal reactions. Most doctors don't know this. When using Bactrim for treating Lyme, it can be extremely difficult to tell the difference between a herx reaction and a potentially life-threatening adverse drug reaction.

Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cleared. Take Biaxin XL for the full prescribed length of time.

  3. I've been in Biaxin w/ amantadine since June. Amantadine is used with Biaxin for lyme per Dr. B's protocol. I did Rifampin for 3 weeks but had to stop last week due to high liver counts.

Bartonella has an affinity for endothelial cells, red blood cells, microglial cells, macrophages, and CD34 progenitor cells hindering nutrient, oxygen, and antibiotic delivery to tissues. This causes fatigue, pain, and cognitive and mood issues. What is the best antibiotic to pair with Rifampin for Bartonella? My doctor will not put me on Bactrim slight MTHFR gene mutation and I have been on Rifampin 300mg for about 6 weeks was on 150mg for 6 weeks before that. I am looking for personal experience here, not what some famous doctor "claims" is the best antibiotic protocol. Babesia and Bartonella are nasiter than Lyme disease for most. Babesia can take forever to get rid of sometimes it can take 9-15 months of intensive multi anti-malarial cocktails to eradicate this. A good check on whether you’ve gotten it under control is to check the inflammation of your liver and spleen.
