    Plaquenil questions - Mar 16, 2009 Hi nefferdun. Plaquenil is often prescribe with an antibiotic because it can help the antibiotic work more efficiently. Many Lyme doctors prescribe it. I took Tinidazole for the cyst form. It is similar to Flagyl but is supposed to be easier to tolerate.
